Game App: Raptor: call of shadows

There's this game app I found and I was happy playing it. This game is called Raptor. It brings me back memories because this game is based on a windows 95 pc game. I always love playing this game as a kid, brings back memories. A si-fi top down shooter created in 1997 made from Mountain King Studios (made for a windows 95 pc game) and later was remake for the iphone,  mac, etc. from BitWise studio. In the game, there are two different controls, one is Accelerometer (very hard to control and poor movement) and another is touch and drag which allows the player to move a object. There are also settings which allows the players to change sounds, controls, resolution (which doesn't help), and music. The goal for this game is to basically destroy everything that gets in your way (no story). Before the player starts the game, the players enters a hanger there are three parts one is the saving area (save the game), supply room (to upgrade weapons), and lastly fly mission (to start the game). The game is split into three different parts called episodes (it's another word for levels) and each of these episodes provides 11 or 10 ten levels and makes the level a little harder. Also every time you an episode, the difficulty gets harder. In the gameplay, there are 7 different huds,  at the right corner are the weapons (in order to change weapons, just tap the right corner of the icon), at the to center of the hud is credits (the more you attack an object or destroy an object, the credits will increase), at the left corner are using attack items (taping the items will create a special attack weapon). On the right and the left is the health meter. Also there is a pause button which allows the players to quit the game  or to resume the game.

Thursday Apps: Triplagent.

I'm immediately drawn to this app because of its beautiful and minimalist design. With so much written about New York City, it's hard to find truly new and unique suggestions. Triplagent is filled with original suggestions from some of the city's most interesting people. It lets you choose places by "vibes" and some of its filters are "odd", "thrill", "bad ass".

Assignment for April 17

Post a first pass at designs. Show all the screens you need to tell the story of your app—you don't need to design social media login screens or show your settings if they're not central to the app—show what's important to the user.

In general: Be able to explain what your app is in one short sentence. Critics should understand what you're trying to accomplish right away.
