Neal Oh: Bejeweled
This game app in my opinion, is one of the best game ever. Bejeweled made by Pop & Cap Games is a puzzle action game where you match 6 different gems. There are 5 different modes, Classic is where you just match gems to get to the next level, another one is Zen (don't know the difference from other modes), Butterflies(what a strange mode), classic mode, and Diamond Mine. For my personal opinion, I like Diamond Mine mode because I have to mach the gems as much as possible to get a highest score as possible before the timer runs out. This mode gives me a challenge and make it a little bit intense later in the game. The game is fun and straight forward. It's free to download. And the music is very relaxing and enjoyable. I'm hoping in the future, that they up date new modes in the future.
Thursday App: Fooducate
Fooducate is an app that tracks the user's process of losing weight. It is unlike other apps because it shows calories and nutrition of food in a easily digestible design. For example, the grade of the food is a, a-, b and b-. The user can immediately tell whether the food is a healthy option or not. It also shows healthier alternatives. My favorite part is that in the end of the day, it gives the user an assessment of both quality and quantity of foods the user has eaten.
Thursday Apps: Plates
Plates is an app that allows multiple people to split their dinner bills with ease. It allows multiple people to easily figure out their individual dinner bills along with tax and tips by punching in the subtotal, tax and prices of each guest's meal. Each bill for each guest appears on their own plate in the end.
It allows the user to enter and drag items to individual plates, which makes the app fun and easy to use as opposed to the typical stern and serious look of finance-related utility apps. The fun and interactive experience of the app avoids the awkward situation at the table about who pays what.
