Extra credit assignment - Trans App
Based on the feedback on the midterm presentation, the 3 views changed on the Trans app are the 'Home' view, the 'List' view and the 'Add new location' view:
Home view:
The critics said the 'Learn More' bar should be called 'Online info' and that it was as important as the other bars. Also, it was said that the text under the titles of each bar were difficult to read. I decided to remove them, they seemed unnecessary.
List view:
Considering that the list of categories is limited to a small number, it should explore the space available in the screen. Now there is more space between categories and each one has an icon.
Add new location view:
The critics said that the 'ready' button should be at the end and that the 'Categories' section should come before the 'transgender services' section, so that the services can be based on the categories chosen. In this case, because the 'Health & Medical' category is selected, the services Psychological Care, Hormone therapy, Reassignment surgery, etc. are available.

Thursday App: Relay
Relay is a message app in which not only you can send text messages and photos, but also hilarious GIF's. It comes with a huge GIF library, you can look up for the one you want or just send a # followed by the word you want and it will send a related GIF. You can also make your own GIF in the IOS version of the app(in the android version it is not available yet)!

Hi, I'm Felipe Tavira!
I'm a exchange student in communication design. I have an android phone now, but I've had an iphone and an ipad.
One of my favorite apps is called Vine. Link: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/vine/id592447445?mt=8
It's a social network where users watch and post short videos(they can only be 6 seconds long), you can explore trending topics, featured hashtags and follow friends etc. The thing I like the most about the app are the comedy videos, It's really cool to see how creative and funny people can be in 6 seconds.
3 things I found interesting about the Human Interface Guidelines:
-The use of visual weight and balance to show users the relative importance of onscreen elements, especially in apps people use in distracting surrondings(Phone and Clock, for example)
-Place principal items in the upper half of the screen and near the left side of the screen so it stands out.
-Focus on the needs of 80% of your users.When you do this, most people won’t have to supply any settings, because the app is already set up to behave the way they expect. If there is functionality that only a few users might want—or that most users might want only once—leave it out.
