Extra Credit: BikeNYC Re-Iteration
My critics admired my BikeNYC app prototype and emphasized the community factor of the app. However, they thought a few things should be fixed. They mentioned the bottom navigation bar and how the central Bike icon wasn't as prominent as the others. Also, they mentioned that when selecting a location, the pin should always be centered on the screen.

Extra Credit: Revision of Shhpeakeasy
I decided to make changes to these three screens due to the problems with its hierarchy (Screen 2: Speakeasy Profile) and the user experience of the entire app (applies to all screens). I had also added a tip and tilted the bottle to show that the user can interact and embark on another Shhpeakeasy journey. I've also decided to make the background of the app dark, as the user would be using the app at night. It would enhance the experience for the user, as it is easier for him/her to see the screen. It also adds a sense of mystery towards the experience of discovering a speakeasy.

Extra credit assignment - Trans App
Based on the feedback on the midterm presentation, the 3 views changed on the Trans app are the 'Home' view, the 'List' view and the 'Add new location' view:
Home view:
The critics said the 'Learn More' bar should be called 'Online info' and that it was as important as the other bars. Also, it was said that the text under the titles of each bar were difficult to read. I decided to remove them, they seemed unnecessary.
List view:
Considering that the list of categories is limited to a small number, it should explore the space available in the screen. Now there is more space between categories and each one has an icon.
Add new location view:
The critics said that the 'ready' button should be at the end and that the 'Categories' section should come before the 'transgender services' section, so that the services can be based on the categories chosen. In this case, because the 'Health & Medical' category is selected, the services Psychological Care, Hormone therapy, Reassignment surgery, etc. are available.

The Room 2
This is a great puzzle/mystery game. The graphics are gorgeous and it makes excellent use of the swipe features on iPad. This is the sequel to The Room, of which I was also a fan. However, the story is much more fleshed out in The Room 2. I played through the entire game in 2 evenings, and unfortunately, it won't have much replay value. Still, it was a lot less expensive than a movie for the number of hours of entertainment. It was well worth the cost.

This is the one I mentioned in class last week. I am still deciding if I like this app. It is trying to be a personal assistant app. It connects to other accounts and consolidates your appointments and related tasks in one place. It even suggests things you might need to do based on your calendar. It is trying to do the contextual app thing. I'm not sure it quite works for me, but I can't tell yet if that is because the app isn't quite there, or if I'm just not the right audience.

ACLU app
This is an interesting one use app I recently came across. I have not used it yet, but that's not necessarily a failing for the app. The ACLU app allows the user to discretely record audio and video of police encounters. This content is then uploaded to the ACLU website so that the video is protected even if the phone is confiscated or destroyed.
